EMERSON
MODELS 130 / 135 SPEED DRYERS
Emerson sets the industry standard with its Model 130 and Model 135 Speed Dryers, used with confidence by the pulp and paper industry to determine moisture content of various paper samples with applicable TAPPI, CPPA, ASTM and APPITA test methods.
Using the Emerson Dryer and a direct reading basis weight scale, an accurate percent moisture determination can be made on an average sheet in less than five minutes to tear-out of final weight. And now with a 230°C option, the speed dryer is being used more and more to test the moisture content of non-woven fiber materials!
Features
- Expanded plate area takes larger samples than Model 130
- Determine the moisture content of pulp, paperboard, consistency pads, newsprint, kraft, groundwood, and tissue
- Now with 150°C and 230°C options
- Regularly used with the applicable TAPPI, CPPA, ASTM and APPITA test methods
- Electrically-heated heavy aluminum plate provides stable heat source for drying samples
- Heavy cast aluminum cover, hinged at the rear, is fitted with a non-asbestos breathable fabric cover pad that functions as a dryer felt and presses the paper sample or hand sheet firmly against the heated plate
- Mass of the aluminum plate eliminates any significant drop in temperature due to the drying load.
- Digital set point controller and heavy duty solid state relay
- Ruggedly built and constructed for continuous service in pulp and paper mill laboratories and other industrial testing environments
